There are many factors that impact the sizing of the generator and appropriate fuel service. Most residential meters can accommodate 250,000 - 300,000 BTU. Accommodation must be made for additional NG appliances such as a hot water heater, dryer, etc. You might have to upgrade the meter to meet both the generator and other appliance demands.
