Generac's iX series portable inverter generators cannot be converted to run on a propane fuel source. This is do in part to the fact that these units are manufactured for use with fresh unleaded gasoline featuring a minimum Research Octane Number (RON) of 87. Moreover, we do not recommend using any gasoline containing more than 10% Ethanol. Never fill the tank with E85, or a mixture of oil and gasoline designated for two-cycle engines. Please note that attempting to modify the unit in any way will immediately void the product's warranty. However, if you are looking for a portable generator that can run on a liquid propane fuel source, we would recommend considering our LP Series units. To learn more about these products, please visit the following link: http://www.generac.com/all-products.... If your desired loads can be tied-in with the outlet adapter that your RV power source plug requires, and if they do not exceed the 16.7 VAC amperage and 2,000 AC rated output running watt ratings of the iX2000 portable inverter generator, model number 6719, this particular unit could be utilized to power loads in an RV unit. Generally, SAE30 will work, but you should select the oil's viscosity grade according to the expected operating temperature, only a little more than 1/2 quart is needed.

Above 40F, use SAE 30
Below 40F - 10F, use SAE 10W-30

The iX2000 does not have outlets that easily facilitate connection to a transfer switch. Also, it is likely provides too little power to make such an installation effective. If you're considering a portable generator to connect to a manual transfer switch, we recommend a unit with no less than 5000 watts.

it has a user controllable vent(for priming)that you can open/close.in my experience with the vent closed and fuel tank pressurized there was no discernible pressure leak from the cap,but I wouldn't rely on no leakage(unpressurized other than gravity)from the alleged sealed fuel cap.the best way to determine if you would have leakage is to make an attempt.

As long as the running watts for the sump pump combined with any other appliances you're running simultaneously does not exceed 2000 watts, then yes this unit should have no trouble providing that power. Additionally, be sure to account for sump pump motor starting, which could require 2 - 3 times the units running watts for a few seconds just to start the motor.

The iX2000 offers 2000 watts of power at 16.6 amps. This unit only offers 120V AC output. If either of the tools you described meet these power constraints, then the iX2000 should be able to power them, but likely one at a time.

im sure you can lean it out but it probably voids the warranty and you would reduce the output, luckily its inverter so it wouldnt affect freq. or voltage.im assuming there is voltage regulation between head and inverter.also you might have to change heat range on spark plug, also once you got to lower elevation you would have to richen it back up.

At this time, Generac does not offer any auxiliary fuel tanks or other accessories to extend this unit's running time. Additionally, Generac does not recommend adding auxiliary fuel tanks to its portable generators, as connections can leak if they are not assembled correctly, which can result in fire or explosion.
