Check your A/C specs for power required- planned power requirements.
Check it with an Amp meter, if you know how then you have actuals.

Generac’s iX Series portable inverter generators are designed to not only quietly operate, but to provide power to a multitude of sensitive electronics. The iX2000 is rated to provide a continuous output of 2,000 watts, and 16.7 amps at 120 volts. We would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the loads that you wish to apply to the unit, to ensure that those loads will not exceed the inverter’s ratings.

Per the product's owner's manual, the iX2000 portable inverter generator, model number 6719, should be filled with clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline featuring a minimum rating of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON). Up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) is acceptable; where available, non-ethanol-premium fuel is recommended. Moreover, we do not recommend alternative fueling options like E85 or using a gas/oil mix. Modifying the engine to run on alternative fuels will immediately void the product's warranty. If you have any other product-related inquiries, please know that we can be reached 24/7 at 888-GENERAC (436-3722).

The iX2000 will come with one (1) 120v 20A 5-15R duplex outlet. We do not recommend to modify the unit to add additional receptacles; however, an appropriately rated extension cord with additional outlets is acceptable, as long as the amperage rating for the unit of 16.7 amps is not exceeded.

The manual states: “Allow engine to cool entirely before adding fuel. Never fill fuel tank when engine is running or hot.” For further information on proper operation of your generator, refer to your owner’s manual. A copy of your owner’s manual can be located online by searching the model or serial number for the unit here: http://www.generac.com/Service/Manu....

Our iX Series portable generators will run off of gasoline only. Generac does not offer a portable unit that is able to use diesel fuel. For units that would utilize diesel fuel, we would recommend looking into our industrial units, which can be purchased through your local certified Industrial dealer. To locate an Industrial dealer in your area to assist with pricing and availability, search your postal code here: http://www.generac.com/Service/Deal....

maybe, the initial startup load on a power washer is similar to other high inertial loads like air compressors.inverter generators don't supply much dynamic headroom in their output, dissimilar to conventional generators.if the initial startup current exceeds 16 or 17 amps,no it will not operate the power washer.

We do not recommend using any type of auxiliary tank. The only tank that should be used is the on-board manufacturer’s tank. In addition to these recommendations, it should be noted that the use of any auxiliary tank will likely void an end user’s warranty, in nearly every instance. All units are required to be checked for oil periodically for usage purposes.

Question

Grounding the ix2000?

Some say you have to ground the ix2000. Would grounding really have a negative effect as far as 'portability'? I mean, who wants to run around with a couple of grounding rods and a roll of 10 ga. wire, pounding it in wherever you use, then going through the hassle of removing everything?

Generac requires that the iX2000 inverter generator be grounded according to the National Electric Code, which is always subject to interpretation by the local inspector. Local electrical codes may also require proper grounding of the generator. We recommend that you consult with a local electrician for grounding requirements in your local area.

We as the manufacturer do not recommend attempting to group two separate generators to provide power to the same load; attempting to do so will automatically void the product’s warranty. Generac’s IX series portable inverter generators are not manufactured to be tied into another generator for additional power.
